Creamy Mushroom Risotto

with Basmati Rice

Ideal Rice: Patran 1401 Steam Basmati

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Patran 1401 Steam Basmati Rice

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 200g mushrooms, sliced

  • 1/2 cup white wine (optional)

  • 4 cups vegetable broth

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a pot, melt butter and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.

  2. Add mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture.

  3. Stir in the basmati rice and cook for 2 minutes.

  4. Pour in white wine (if using) and cook until absorbed.

  5. Gradually add vegetable broth, one cup at a time, stirring continuously until the rice is creamy and cooked through.

  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese, season with salt and pepper.

  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
